Announcements for abstract acceptance have been sent out by email.
Please contact Ryan Seto via email ( ryansk@dr-seto.com ) for any enquiry. Detail arrangement and timetable for presentations will announced and posted onto this website on or before 15th June 2008.
 
  Information for Authors
Special attention will be paid to the abstract reviewing process in order to ensure high scientific standards. Abstracts will be examined by the Scientific Committee responding to the conditions listed below. The Scientific Committee will attempt to respect the author's wishes regarding assignment to a special topic and type of presentation but it reserves the right to change the allocation in order to achieve a well-balanced scientific program.

Authors will be informed about the decision of the Scientific Committee by March 9th 2008

 
  Conditions of Acceptance
  • Only original material should be submitted
  • Abstracts should contain enough details to clearly convey the approach and the results of the research
  • Particular care should be taken in specifying laser parameters (wavelength, pulsewidth or exposure duration, focal spot and treatment energy, power irradiance or fluence)
  • Commercial papers, descriptions of papers with no research/development content and papers where supporting data or a technical description cannot be given for proprietary reasons will not be accepted for presentation in the scientific sessions

  Instructions for Submission of Abstracts
  1. Please fill in the personal data (full address, Phone, fax and e-mail address) of presenting author.
  2. Please indicate the type of presentation and the topic allocation.
  3. Abstracts must be written in English (other languages will not be accepted for reviewing process).
  4. The abstract text should have a minimum length of 200 words but shall not exceed 250 words, excluding abstract title and authors.
  5. Only two presentations per author are allowed within the scientific program.
  6. Give the initials of the first name preceding the last name of the author, but omit degrees, titles or institutional appointments e.g. E. Smith., R. Kline, B. Webber etc.
  7. The name of the person presenting the paper should be marked by an asterisk.
  8. No graphics may be inserted.
  9. Please do not use special characters like α, β, γ, δ etc. But write out the word e.g. alpha.
  10. Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted. An abstract may be rejected for publication if it contains errors or misspellings.
 
  Instructions for Submission of Abstracts
  • Purpose : Give a brief overview of the topic and in this context state the main objective of the study.
  • Material and Methods : Describe the basic design, subjects and scientific methods.
  • Results : Give main results of the study including confidence intervals and exact level of statistical significance, whenever appropriate.
  • Conclusion : State only those conclusions supported by the data obtained and whenever appropriate, the direct clinical application of the findings (avoid speculations)
